Overlooking the pristine volcanic Bracciano Lake, this imposing centuries old castle boasts luxurious state rooms where kings, popes, lords, ladies, dukes and knights have lived and slept. Original furnishings, paintings, frescoes and day to day objects turns this castle into a museum in itself.

The nearby medieval hamlet of Ceri sits perched on top of a steep cliff and it’s reachable only by 1 narrow street on which vehicles take turn driving as there’s not enough space for 2 vehicles to pass side by side. A traffic light on top of the village and a traffic light at the bottom of the village directs the traffic going up and down.

Ceri is well known for its Madonna of Ceri sanctuary with walls adorned with worn out medieval frescoes of Christian biblical stories.
